Hello, Leo is coming from a very busy home in which the individuals life changed drastically, making it challening for them to care for Leo. He was crated for long hours a day and his primary owner moved back home. My husband and I have been fostering him for the past month and we are helping him find his forever home. Leo is 9 month's and a sweetheart. He is fully potty trained, has great recall and knows sit, stay and down. He loves to play with his toys and knows how to fetch and brings back the ball. He knows the rules in our home and does not jump on the couch, and does not sleep our bed ( by his choice!). He is still a puppy and active, he loves to play and would do best in a home with a back yard. We are not sure how he is with little kids, but given he is a puppy with energy, we think he would do best in homes with kids over 8? Leo is a submissive dog and lays on his back and loves belly rubs. Given Leos puppy years were challening for him, Leo is still working on socializing with people. He barks when he sees people, but since he has been with us, he has made a lot of improvements. He is a good family dog and would thrive in a home with a big family. Leo is not food aggressive and easily trainable. Leo does not ask/beg for human food and he is very good in the car. Leo is good with brushing his teeth, getting his hair combed and taking a bath. He is good at his vet (VCA Oshawa). He is up to date on vaccines and needs to be neutured, which should further bring down his stranger barking. Leo is easy to redirect with treats. Leo gives lots of kisses and if you are sitting down, he will sit into your lap. He would do amazing at agility training. Leo should go to a home who understands Leos history and works with him slowly to be more comfortable with strangers. Please research the breed before messaging. We are looking for Leos forever home and willing to do a slow adoption.
