Breed: American Bulldog-HoundAge: YoungSex: MaleSize: LThis gorgeous guy is Sherlock. He is a two year old, 75lb, American Bulldog Hound mix. He has a short coat and is typical of the bully Breed. He loves attention and affection and will return it tenfold. He was rescued from a hoarding situation, flea ridden, in an outdoor Kennel, fed on the ground, not in a bowl and not vetted at all. Barks and Meows Rescue took him into their care and had him fully vetted. His skin was so bad from allergies to the flea bites He had fly bites on him leaving open sores. Now his skin looks great, no more sores, hes neutered, fully vaccinated, on flea tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed and had tested negative for heartworm, ehrlichia and Lyme disease. Sherlock loves being an indoor dog. He is crated at night and when his foster family is away. He is housebroken and loves playing g outside with other dogs. He plays with his body, true to his Breed so other large dogs play best with him. He knows how to sit and get down on command. He will attach himself to whoever is home most often. Sherlock has a great sense of smell and the appetite of the hound. He is fed three times a day due to his activity level in the foster home . He has a deep loud bark which he will use when playing with the other dogs. He will be a very good indoor watch dog as well. He is very strong and requires a body harness in order to walk him with control. We dont believe he would be good with cats. Children 7 and older will work as if they are too small he could easily bowl them over by accident. Sherlock is still a puppy in many ways. He has learned his manners here and since he is food motivated it happened quickly. Hes a goofy playful boy who will bring his new family lots of love and laughs. A fully fenced yard and a Veterinarian history is mandatory in order to pay for him. If Sherlock will complete your family tree, visit barksandmeows.ca for an online application.
